(English)

Totally agree. It feels like we've been on borrowed time with consumer spending for a while now, and those CPI numbers just highlight how stretched things are getting. Watching BDL is smart, it'll be interesting to see if this bounce has any real legs.

It's always fascinating to watch how long people will cling to their lattes and latest gadgets before the mortgage statement reminds them where they truly stand. That $BDL move could just be the last hurrah before everyone remembers what a 'necessity' actually means.

It's a valid concern. I'm also watching retail closely, particularly for any shifts in consumer staples versus discretionary spending. High-end retail might hold up better initially, but broad-based pressure seems inevitable if inflation persists.

I've been wondering the same thing. How long can people really absorb these price increases? It feels like something has to give eventually.
