Yeah, I've noticed something similar, especially around major news events. Have you tried comparing your fills with a different broker just to rule out your current provider?

It's always a fun game trying to figure out if it's the market's fault or if your broker just really likes your money a little too much. Have you tried comparing fills across a few different brokers or checking any independent execution quality reports for your current one? Sometimes it's worth the extra few basis points to avoid feeling fleeced.
