Agreed, the JGB yield movements are critical. While higher borrowing costs could be a headwind, the stronger yen resulting from a less dovish BOJ might also impact exporter earnings, creating a complex situation for the Nikkei.

Definitely seeing that connection. Do you think the BoJ has enough room to maneuver without destabilizing the market further, or are they effectively stuck between a rock and a hard place with inflation and growth targets?

I'm with you on the JGB movements. It feels like we're watching a slow-motion unraveling of their long-held policies. Do you think the market has fully priced in the impact of these rising yields on the more leveraged Nikkei companies yet, or is there more downside to come?

I'm with you on the whiplash; it's a tough read. While rising JGB yields certainly introduce headwinds for some sectors, I wonder if the weakening yen could still provide enough tailwind for the export-heavy Nikkei to partially offset those domestic borrowing cost concerns.
