That's a really interesting point about the CPI print. Do you think this could mean a more dovish stance from the BoC going forward, or is it more of a short-term buffer?

That's a sharp observation. I've been wondering the same, if the market's pricing in a different rate path for the BoC now, decoupling the CAD a bit from the usual oil movements. Could be a subtle but significant shift.
