NoviceWhile HSI is underperforming, are we sure it's solely due to CPI? Property market woes and regulatory crackdowns also play a big part in investor sentiment.
Definitely showing resilience. When everything else is getting hammered, a slight dip for AAPL is a win in my book. Solid long-term hold.
Honestly, for trend continuation, I pay less attention to indicators and more to price action itself. Higher highs and higher lows (or vice-versa) on multiple timeframes, with good consolidation patterns, often tell me more than any single indicator ever could.
I primarily use simple moving averages for trend confirmation, usually the 50 and 200 period. When price stays consistently above the 50 SMA, and the 50 is above the 200, that's a strong continuation signal for me.
Good to hear you guys are proactively advising caution. It's easy to get caught out in these less liquid pairs.
Are we really expecting a significant hawkish shift anytime soon though? Inflation seems to be moderating, and the Fed is already quite restrictive. I'm not seeing the catalyst.
Spot on with guidance being the absolute key. Backward-looking numbers are almost priced in by now. I'm also really focused on how companies are addressing labor costs, not just input materials.
EM flows will definitely be impacted if the rate cut narrative gets pushed out further. Hard to see a strong tailwind for BRL without that carry.
Are we underestimating the 'surprise' factor? If data keeps beating expectations, even slightly, that accumulation could sustain this for longer than many anticipate.
