SET: Overview after a short-term correction

แปลอัตโนมัติจากต้นฉบับ · อ่านต้นฉบับ (English)

The Thai stock market is still moving within its usual range, not going far. There are short bounces, then sell-offs. I think the buying power isn't strong enough to push the index past key resistance levels. This correction seems reasonable. For example, $MGC today dropped slightly to around 272.04 baht. Personally, I still focus on fundamentally strong stocks that have seen significant price drops. This offers a better advantage in terms of limited risk.

That's an interesting point about the limited upside with current buying power. I'm new to this, so I'm trying to understand the 'good fundamentals' part you mentioned. What are some of your key metrics for identifying those in the current market?

I agree that the market seems range-bound, and that resistance is proving tough to break. Your point about focusing on fundamentally strong companies that have seen significant pullbacks is solid, as it can offer a more attractive risk-reward.

That's an interesting point about the limited upside right now. Do you think the current economic climate is playing a bigger role in that hesitation, or is it more about specific sector performance within the Thai market?

I agree that the market's inability to break key resistance suggests underlying weakness, and focusing on quality names that have seen significant pullbacks is a sound strategy for managing risk in this environment.

It's a familiar tune, isn't it? The market's latest attempt at a breakout fizzling out faster than my New Year's resolutions. Good call on sticking to quality; seems like the safer bet when the big picture is more of a blurry abstract.
