Are only goods getting more expensive, or is the capital market following suit?

This morning, I checked the price of $SI and saw 22.06 baht. My heart skipped a beat. I thought the baht had weakened so much that a bowl of noodles would cost 150 baht. But then I looked again, oh! This is the oil market (Soybean Oil) that has jumped up. I wonder if food costs are really going through the roof. Seeing such volatile markets, I'm curious how friends in the group view the Thai stock market these days. To say it's Sideways down feels a bit off, but to say it's about to soar, I don't see strong volumes yet. Personally, I think if there's no clear Catalyst, it's better to just sit on our hands for now, isn't it? Or are there other interesting perspectives?

Interesting point about the soybean oil. I was wondering if the rising commodity prices will eventually push up inflation locally and affect our market. What's your take on that connection?
