SET: The chart says... but it won't tell

Seeing the index lately has been quite amusing. It makes those who watch the screen have to guess every day. Anyone who says the Thai stock market is easy probably needs to reconsider. $SET seems to want to go up, but it doesn't go all the way up, and it doesn't go all the way down either. Looking at the chart, I'm still confused about what it wants to do next. Part of me wants it to continue, another part wants it to rest a bit before a long rally. This way, we don't get any rest at all.

Personally, I think during this period, we need to focus on selecting individual stocks rather than looking at the overall index. Those who like challenges will probably have fun, but those who prefer to play it safe might have to wait for the chart to be clearer, or look at energy stocks like $XOP, which is bright green today at 188.81.
