SET: The index is going nowhere, but individual stocks always have a story to follow

แปลอัตโนมัติจากต้นฉบับ · อ่านต้นฉบับ (English)

Seeing the SET lately, I can't help but wonder if we're stuck in Groundhog Day. The overall index seems to be stagnant, not going anywhere, but when you zoom in on individual stocks, there's always something to play with.

Sometimes it feels like a race against time. Stocks with good stories and beautiful financial results have already seen their prices run up. If you're not someone who follows news minute by minute or someone who monitors the screen all day, it can be quite exhausting. Especially recently, I've seen many stocks with high price volatility. Sometimes you fall asleep and wake up to a different price (lol). It's no wonder many people are starting to look at international markets, like $CAD or $CADUSD, which I've heard some people say are less volatile and have more interesting news to follow.

Personally, I'm still circling around the SET. Perhaps it's because I'm more familiar with the habits of our local market. I just need to adjust my strategy a bit. From previously trading heavily, I now have to test the waters slowly. If anyone has good insights or techniques for this kind of market, please share them.

I completely agree. It really feels like a perpetual balancing act between keeping up with news flow and not getting caught chasing pumps. It's a tough environment if you're not constantly glued to the screen.

จริงเลยครับ ช่วงนี้ต้องทำการบ้านหนักมาก ไม่งั้นก็ตามตลาดไม่ทันเลย บางทีเห็นตัวที่น่าสนใจก็ไปไกลแล้ว

It's true the index has been flat, but chasing individual stories often feels like trying to catch smoke. By the time the news is out, the move is usually already priced in, if not overextended.
