Polymarket & Resolution Delays: Intentional?

I've definitely noticed some delays, and it does make you wonder. I'm not sure if it's intentional to benefit the book, or just a symptom of how tricky some resolutions can be, even seemingly simple ones, especially when they want to be completely sure. What kind of markets are you seeing this most on?
