Question about liquidity on Polymarket

I've just started using Polymarket recently. When I see an interesting market and check the volume for that event, sometimes I feel it's very low compared to price volatility, or sometimes most people's bet sizes are quite small. So I'd like to know what experienced Polymarket traders think about liquidity. How much does it affect your decision to put money in, or how do you assess the risk from this?
