Lessons from Brent's Early-Year Surge

When news broke early this year that Brent $CL_F might hit 90, I went long based on the news. I entered a bit late and got hit hard by a strong correction at the end of February, losing a lot. The lesson is that news affects prices, but timing is far more crucial. Entering slightly later than the market can still hurt. And if you only enter based on news without properly considering technicals or your own risk-reward, it's no different from gambling.
