Hello new members, I made a big FOMO mistake with $DOGE

Hello everyone, I've only recently joined this forum, but I've learned a lot from reading many of your old posts. Today, I'd like to introduce myself and share my own mistakes, hoping it might be useful.

About 2-3 years ago, when $DOGE was booming and everyone was talking about it, I couldn't resist the hype. I bought in when the price had already soared. At that time, I was very new to investing. I saw others making profits and wanted some too. I was afraid of missing out (FOMO) and forgot to look at the fundamentals, forgot to look at market conditions. I made my first purchase, and it went up a little more, which made me even more confident. But soon after, the price plummeted rapidly. I tried to average down repeatedly, hoping it would recover. In the end, I lost a lot of money, quite a significant amount for my small portfolio back then. That lesson taught me that chasing prices based on hype, without doing proper homework first, is truly dangerous. Nowadays, I try to be much calmer, focusing on charts and thoroughly studying fundamental factors before making any investment decisions, whether it's stocks or crypto. I'm especially careful about FOMO. Have any of you had similar experiences? Feel free to share.
