Newbie Trader: Need Info on Trading Journal

Hello, I'm new to this forum and very much a beginner. I'm currently trying to learn about creating a Trading Journal. I've heard many people say it's important, but I'm still not sure what exactly I should be recording to make it truly useful.
From what I've read, it includes entry/exit price, reason for trade, SL/TP. But sometimes I trade and forget to record, or when I do record, it feels like I'm just keying in data without being able to analyze it further. So, I'd like to ask experienced traders: Is there anything specific that should be included in a Journal? Or how can I use it to its maximum potential?
