ECB signals there might be something hidden behind EURCAD

This morning, I read what the ECB said. The tone still revolved around inflation but avoided directly talking about interest rates. I think there might be something hidden behind the scenes; otherwise, they wouldn't be so reserved.

Normally, when a central bank speaks like this, I tend to look at currency pairs related to that currency, like $EURCAD, which is currently trading around 1.60464. It still looks stable, not moving much. But don't be complacent. I think we need to wait for more news from the Canadian side before deciding which way to go, because if the ECB starts playing games like this, there might be surprise news to follow.
