Lessons from a Stop Loss Adjustment Mistake in DAX

During last year's energy crisis, I made a big mistake trading DAX futures. I saw a strong bounce from a key support zone, so I went long and set a stop loss as per the rules. But when the price started to pull back close to my stop, I got nervous. I thought it would bounce back, so I moved my stop out a bit further. Then, when the price actually broke below that zone, it dropped much deeper than I expected. What should have been a small loss turned into a huge one. It was a very clear lesson on how dangerous it is to adjust a stop loss without sufficient technical reasons. Greed and fear can really make us make bad decisions.
