Mistakes from Shorting $BTC During a Bull Run

I want to share an experience where I just messed up with $BTC when it was surging. I saw the price looked like it was going to breakout, so I went in, intending to take a quick small profit. But the chart pulled back so fast, and I didn't set a tight enough stop loss, thinking it would surely bounce back. In the end, I was stuck holding for quite a while before I finally cut my losses. This is a crucial lesson that whether you're trading short or long, the discipline of setting a stop loss is really important. Otherwise, a small profit could turn into a big loss you have to pay.

Another thing to consider is that when we are very confident about which way the market will go, sometimes that's when we are most complacent. Controlling emotions to avoid FOMOing with the market or trying to recover losses after they've happened is difficult, but very necessary for survival in the market.
