Lessons from Late-Year Gold Greed

Late last year, the gold market ($XAUUSD) seemed to have good momentum. Seeing an opportunity, I rushed to increase my position at an unsuitable point, thinking I'd make a big profit during the holidays. But when the price started to fluctuate, I hesitated, not daring to cut, which led to watching my portfolio go deeper into the red. Ultimately, I had to cut losses at an unfavorable time.

What I learned is: Don't let greed overshadow your trading plan, and risk management is always paramount. No matter how good an opportunity seems, sticking to your principles is key.
