Lessons from HSI: Chasing a Bull Market That Wasn't

Late last year, the Hong Kong stock market $HSI started showing signs of recovery. People began talking about a comeback. At that time, I saw the chart looked good, with some volume coming in, so I thought it would continue to rise. I didn't think much of it and went all-in, without considering the overall Chinese economy, which hadn't fully recovered. I made the mistake of thinking the chart alone was enough. After the stock went up a bit, it fell even harder than before. I was stuck holding the bag for a long time before I could get out. The lesson learned is not to trust only the chart. Always consider fundamental factors, especially with a sensitive market like HSI.
