Understanding Position Sizing: Why it Matters More Than Entry
A lot of new traders focus heavily on getting the perfect entry, but understanding position sizing is arguably more critical. It's simply deciding how much capital to put into a trade, usually as a percentage of your total trading capital. For example, if you risk 1% of a $10,000 account per trade, you're only putting $100 at risk, even if you trade $FXI at 35.86. This helps protect your capital from a single bad trade, like the folks holding $ZAPP today after that drop to 0.1548, and ensures you live to trade another day.
