The siren song of 'just one more'

My biggest recurring mistake, one that still bites me, is the "just one more" trade. You have a decent day, hit your profit target, maybe even exceed it. Then the market throws up another juicy setup, or you see a move you 'missed'. Instead of walking away, you take it. And then another. And another. Suddenly, you've given back half your gains, or worse, ended red. It's the insidious cousin of overtrading, often born from ego or an inability to simply be content. Learned the hard way that sometimes, the best trade is no trade at all, especially when you're already up. My best days end with me shutting down my platforms, not chasing the dragon.
