Oil's move and what it means for inflation watchers

Watching $USO push above 130. I'm keeping a close eye on this continued strength in oil, as it inevitably feeds into CPI expectations and potentially dictates how the Fed reacts to the next inflation print. This is definitely affecting how I'm thinking about broader market plays right now.

Totally agree. The oil run-up is definitely a significant factor, and it's going to be interesting to see if the market has fully priced in the potential ripple effects on inflation and the Fed's stance. Are you adjusting your short-term strategies much based on this, or is it more of a longer-term concern for you?

It's not just about CPI; sustained oil strength impacts production costs across the board. That's going to hit earnings for a lot of companies, not just consumer discretionary.
