Watching $US30 around 54k – potential for a deeper retrace?

Been keeping an eye on $US30 today, specifically around that 54k level. We popped up to 54094.65 earlier, but seem to be struggling to hold onto those gains. It feels like we're consolidating after that strong push, and I'm wondering if this 54k area is a key decision point.

My thinking is if we can't find solid support here and start breaking down below 53800, we could see a retest of lower levels, perhaps even towards 53500. The risk to that scenario, of course, is a quick push through 54100 on strong volume, which would likely invalidate the bearish lean and suggest more upside. Just curious what others are seeing on their charts for $US30 here.
