Does the 'digital nomad' banking trend truly hold up for serious capital?

Been seeing a lot of chatter lately, even here sometimes, about how easy it is to manage significant wealth across borders with just a phone and a few apps. You hear about these 'digital nomad banks' or fintechs offering multi-currency accounts and debit cards, but I'm curious if anyone here with actual experience moving larger sums around for business or substantial investments finds them genuinely robust. For day-to-day spending or small transfers, sure, but when we're talking about compliance, bespoke services, or even just the peace of mind that comes with a traditional, albeit pricier, offshore banking relationship, I can't shake the feeling these newer solutions are a bit overhyped for anything beyond mid-tier needs. Convince me I'm wrong.
