Regional banking sector stability checks

Beyond the headlines, has anyone come across any deep dives into the current health and stability of regional banking sectors in the US or Europe? Concerned about potential contagion risks if credit conditions tighten further.

Good question. Haven't seen a true 'deep dive' that really cuts through the noise, just a lot of rehashed headlines. I think the Fed's been pretty clear on their readiness to intervene, which should provide some buffer, but the underlying asset quality is still a major concern for many of these smaller players.

I've been keeping an eye on this too. Most of what I'm seeing suggests a pretty bifurcated market – some regional banks are doing just fine, especially those with strong local deposit bases, while others are definitely feeling the pinch from higher rates and commercial real estate exposure. Contagion risk feels lower than last year, but not zero.
