KYB for Multi-Jurisdictional Entities

Curious how others are handling KYB for holding companies or funds with complex, multi-layered ownership structures across different regulatory jurisdictions. The due diligence burden seems to amplify exponentially with each added layer and distinct national requirement. Are there specific vendors or internal protocols that have proven particularly effective in streamlining this without compromising compliance depth?

We've found a lot of success using a centralized data repository for all entity documents, cross-referencing with local legal counsel in each jurisdiction for specific regulatory nuances. What kind of issues are you running into the most?

This is something I'm starting to encounter more too. Have you found any particular challenges with UBO identification when the ownership chain crosses multiple continents with different reporting requirements?

It's like peeling an onion, but each layer is in a different language and comes with its own set of slightly differing, yet equally demanding, bureaucratic demands. I've found that having a dedicated team whose sole purpose is to untangle these legal Gordian knots is the only way to maintain a semblance of sanity. Good luck.

We've found that centralizing documentation and creating standardized internal questionnaires for each ownership tier helps. It's still a lot, but it reduces back-and-forth when dealing with different jurisdictions' specific requirements.
