KYC Automation for High-Volume, Low-Value Transactions

Curious how others are handling KYC/AML for a product that sees a very high volume of transactions, each individually quite small, often below the typical SAR threshold but cumulatively significant. We're looking at various automation tools but the cost-benefit analysis gets tricky when you factor in the edge cases and false positives that still require manual review. Is anyone seeing real success with AI/ML-driven anomaly detection for this specific scenario, or are manual reviews for flagged accounts still eating up a disproportionate amount of resources despite the tech investment? We're exploring solutions that can adapt quickly to evolving regulatory guidance, especially concerning international transfers, but the initial setup and ongoing tuning seem like a beast. Any thoughts on vendors that excel in this niche?

This is a tough one. We've found that leveraging tiered KYC based on cumulative transaction value helps, but the initial onboarding still has to be robust enough to catch most issues without creating too much friction for low-value users. Are you focusing on the initial KYC or ongoing monitoring for these transactions?
