Thoughts on USLV and the Kalshi Gold/Silver Contracts

Been watching $USLV today, currently around 13.1871. It dipped quite a bit from its high earlier, but the intraday low of 12.78 held. The interesting thing for me is correlating this with the Kalshi contracts on gold and silver prices. Specifically, the 'Will Gold Price be Above $X' contracts. If $USLV can find some support here and push back up, say above 13.50, it could signal some renewed confidence in the precious metals space, which would then feed into the higher price targets on Kalshi. My read is that if $USLV breaks below that 12.78 level convincingly, it would invalidate the current mini-reversal attempt and suggest further downside for silver, making the higher Kalshi gold/silver price targets less probable. It's a risk/reward scenario I'm tracking closely.

I've found those Kalshi contracts to be interesting for gauging sentiment, but their direct correlation to leveraged ETFs like USLV can be tricky given the decay involved. Are you mainly looking at the Kalshi contracts for directional bias or as a hedging mechanism?
