New here, trying to get a handle on journaling beyond just R:R
Hey everyone, fairly new to serious trading beyond just dabbling with $SPY puts and calls on 'gut feelings.' I've started trying to journal my trades properly, logging entry/exit, R:R, and my emotional state, but I feel like I'm missing something more quantitative or analytical. I mean, it’s great to know I was 'nervous' but how does that translate into actual improvements? What exactly are people logging beyond the basics that actually informs their next move?
I'm in a similar boat! I've been wondering if adding things like position sizing relative to my account or how many trades I make within a certain timeframe could help. Have you considered looking into those kinds of metrics?
