Watching XAUUSD at 2300 - Could be an important area

Been closely eyeing XAUUSD over the last few sessions, and that 2300 level just keeps drawing my attention. It's acted as support a couple of times recently, and a break below that, especially with a sustained daily close, really changes the technical picture for me. I'd be looking for a potential move down towards 2260 if that support fails to hold.

Conversely, if we manage to bounce cleanly from here and establish a higher low, it would reinforce the bullish structure for now. The risk to my current line of thinking is really a strong rejection from 2320-2330 that fails to recapture momentum, or that clear break of 2300.

Agree, 2300 on XAUUSD is a key psychological and technical level. A daily close below it would confirm a shift, but I'm also watching for any strong rejection off that level first.

That's a good observation. I'm relatively new to XAUUSD; what makes 2300 such a significant psychological or technical level beyond just recent support bounces?

2300 is definitely key, but I'm not convinced a bounce is the most likely scenario given the recent price action. Seems more probable we'd test lower if it breaks.

That's an interesting point about 2300. I'm new to charting, but I've noticed how often round numbers seem to act as psychological barriers. Do you find that holds true for gold particularly, or is it more of a general market principle?

I'm with you on 2300 for XAUUSD. I've also noticed it acting as a pivot recently. Do you think the current global uncertainty could provide enough underlying support to prevent a sustained break below, even if we touch lower?
