Gold pushing 2300, watching the 2280-2290 zone for support
Hey everyone, been keeping a close eye on $XAUUSD lately, and it's certainly had a decent run. After that strong move up, it feels like we're consolidating a bit around the 2300 mark. I'm curious if anyone else is watching that 2280-2290 area as potential support if we see a deeper retracement. It acted as resistance previously, and a flip to support there would be interesting, especially if volume comes in on any dip. The overall trend is still clearly up on the daily, but a healthy retest of a previous breakout zone wouldn't surprise me and might offer a lower-risk entry for those who missed the initial surge.
My main concern, and what would invalidate that idea for me, is a clean break and close below, say, 2270. If we start closing below that, it suggests the bears are gaining more control than I'd anticipate, and we might be looking at a deeper pullback towards the 2250 or even 2230 levels. Just my thoughts, definitely keen to hear other perspectives on this.
