XAUUSD Holding Steady Despite USD Strength

Interesting to see $XAUUSD maintaining its ground around the 4185 mark today, especially with the dollar showing some renewed strength. Typically, a stronger USD would exert more downward pressure. Is this a sign of underlying safe-haven demand, or just short-term technical resistance holding up? What are others seeing in the drivers?

Good point on the USD strength, but I think the market is just digesting recent moves. Gold had a strong run, so some consolidation here makes sense, irrespective of the dollar's minor bounce.

Could also be end-of-week positioning. A lot of traders might not want to go into the weekend short gold given the current climate. I wouldn't read too much into it just yet.

What about bond yields? Are they playing a role here? Sometimes gold can decouple from the dollar if real yields are moving in a favorable direction for the metal.

I'm leaning towards safe-haven demand. With all the geopolitical noise, it feels like gold is finding a bid regardless of what the DXY is doing today.
