Watching the dollar with $EEM in mind

Been looking at the $USDX hitting 25.505 today and it makes me wonder about the broader impact, especially for EM assets. We saw $EEM up a bit, around 0.95% to 65.64, but that dollar strength has been a real headwind. Just curious how others are thinking about this dynamic moving forward. Is this just a blip, or do we need to factor in continued dollar resilience for our EM plays?

It's definitely a tricky spot. While EEM showed a slight bounce, the underlying dollar strength does pose a significant question mark for sustained EM performance. I'm wondering if this resilience in the dollar is more about safe-haven flows or if there's a fundamental shift supporting it.

That's a good observation. While dollar strength is a key factor, it's also worth considering the individual economic situations within the emerging markets themselves. Some might be more resilient to a strong dollar than others due to their own domestic policies or commodity exposure.
