Oracle surged 11%: market believes in AI profitability
October 28 #Oracle gained about 11%, rising above $148. By the end of the session, shares held steady around $144,90. Buyers were attracted by the company's statements at an investor meeting: Oracle presented a plan to reduce its AI business's dependence on raising new capital.
In our October 15 publication, we noted the pressure of debt load on #Oracle. Now the company has presented a plan that partially alleviates these concerns. Oracle aims to limit additional financing through the end of fiscal year 2030 to $20 billion, split equally between debt and equity issuance.

What has changed for buyers
Oracle expects to return to positive free cash flow in the second half of the fiscal year 2028. By 2029, it is expected to exceed $30 billion, while capital expenditures are set to begin declining. The company also forecasts revenue exceeding $225 billion in fiscal year 2030.
For the market, timing is key: investors were shown when infrastructure construction should stop requiring a constant influx of external capital. These are currently company projections, but they have significantly eased concerns that previously weighed on the stock.
Microsoft confirms demand for cloud services
An additional argument in favor of the AI sector came from #Microsoft. Azure revenue grew by 48%, and free cash flow reached $18.6 billion, significantly surpassing expectations.
The connection between these two stories is clear: Oracle promises improved cash flows, and Microsoft is already showing strong results in its cloud business. The payback on AI investments has become one of the main themes of 2026: the market is evaluating not only demand for new technologies but also companies' ability to generate earnings after billions spent on infrastructure.
For #SP500 and #NQ100 this is an important supporting factor. When major tech companies confirm returns on their investments, buyers have more reasons to return to the sector. Promises of growth are gradually giving way to verification of revenue, profits, and cash flows.
Analysts' view: recovery potential remains
According to FreshForex analysts, Oracle's statements and Microsoft's results strengthen the case for the continued recovery of #Oracle, #Microsoft, #SP500 and #NQ100. More transparent infrastructure payback periods reduce anxiety around AI spending and support interest in tech stocks.
#Oracle managed to retain a significant portion of yesterday's gains: the session ended around $144.90. The next key level is a return to $148, followed by a test of $150. For #Microsoft, strong cloud results support the growth scenario, and for #NQ100 and #SP500 create a foundation for further recovery.
