The siren song of 'just one more'

Thought I had $USDJPY figured out last week, hit my targets, took profit. But then, poof, the thought of 'just one more little scalp' before bed crept in, despite being up significantly. Ended up giving back half the day's gains because I got greedy and pushed it. The market really doesn't care about your hot streak.

It's a classic trap, isn't it? That feeling of invincibility after a good run can be more dangerous than a losing streak. It really highlights the importance of sticking to a pre-defined exit strategy, no matter how good you're feeling.

This is a classic scenario that most of us have encountered. It's tough to walk away when things are going well, but knowing your exit strategy and sticking to it is crucial, even when that strategy is simply 'stop for the day'.
