Watching $USDSEK after latest CPI print
The latest inflation numbers out of Sweden have been a bit of a mixed bag, certainly not giving the Riksbank a clear path. With the Fed's stance still somewhat hawkish, and the recent $USDSEK moves, currently at 9.5222, it feels like the market is still trying to decide if we've found a floor for the SEK or if there's more downside to come. The range today, 9.5093–9.5222, shows some intraday volatility, but nothing definitive.
I'm keeping $USDSEK on a tight leash, looking for any shift in central bank rhetoric that could signal a sustained move. It feels like the market is very sensitive to any strong macro data right now, and a deviation from expectations could really move the needle one way or another.
I'm watching the same pair. The Riksbank's challenge is significant, especially with global monetary policy divergence. Do you think a sustained break below 9.50 is realistic in the near term?
