A Hard Lesson on Moving Stops with DAX
One of my costly mistakes was with $DAX futures, back when I was less disciplined. I had a clear stop loss set, but as price approached it, I convinced myself it was just noise and moved my stop further out, only for the market to slice right through that new level too, turning a small loss into a significant one. The lesson was simple: trust your initial analysis and never move a stop to widen your risk.
That's a tough lesson to learn, but definitely an important one. It makes me wonder, how do you manage your stops now to avoid that temptation, especially when volatility spikes?
