Onboarding speed with new DeFi protocols - anyone else feeling the drag?

Been looking at a few newer DeFi protocols lately, some really interesting stuff happening with synthetic assets and more robust lending mechanisms. My main sticking point, though, has been the onboarding process. Not just the usual KYC/AML stuff, which I get, but the actual integration with some of the required wallets or the initial staking/LP contributions can be a real drag. Sometimes it feels like they've got great tech under the hood but haven't quite ironed out the user journey. Anyone else experiencing this, or found any protocols doing it exceptionally well?

It's like they're trying to hide the good stuff behind an obstacle course, isn't it? Makes you wonder if some projects are more interested in proving their technical prowess than actually getting users onboarded.
