CPI print and its DeFi ripple

That $CPI print came in at 25.6047 today. While it's not a direct DeFi metric, watching the broader market's reaction to inflation numbers always makes me consider how much longer the 'higher for longer' narrative can hold sway, and what that means for liquidity seeking risk-on assets. Still debating whether to trim some of the longer-tail yield plays or just sit tight and let the market digest the noise. Seems like everyone's still trying to figure out if it's a blip or a trend.

Ah, the old 'higher for longer' tango. At this point, I'm starting to think 'indefinitely longer' is a more accurate descriptor. My portfolio is certainly feeling the digestion, though I'm not sure it's the market doing the digesting or just my stomach churning.

It's interesting how those macro numbers, even if not directly DeFi, really do make you re-evaluate positions. I'm new to this, so I'm trying to understand how a 'higher for longer' rate environment specifically impacts yield plays in DeFi. Does it just reduce the attractiveness of those yields compared to traditional finance, or is there more to it?
