Onboarding speed and API access for new liquidity providers

Curious to hear about recent experiences onboarding with new liquidity providers or even prop firms for a moderately sized fund. Specifically, what's the typical lead time from initial contact to full API access, assuming all KYC/KYB docs are in order? We're finding some unexpected delays getting proper integration access beyond just a basic trading account, even with decent volume commitments.

We've seen similar issues. Lead times often get quoted as 2-4 weeks, but real-world integration for proper API access can easily stretch to 2-3 months, even with everything in order. The internal bureaucracy is usually the bottleneck, not the tech.

It's almost as if 'accelerated onboarding for preferred partners' means 'we'll get to you after we finish our second coffee break and maybe check if the intern remembered to file your paperwork under 'P' for 'Priority'... eventually.'

We've seen similar issues, especially with firms that haven't fully streamlined their institutional onboarding for API access. It often feels like the API team is a separate entity from the sales team, leading to disjointed communication and slower integration. Have you found any providers that stand out for their efficiency in this regard?
