Lesson Learned: Not Having a Plan for Profit Taking

One of my biggest lessons from the last bull run was around not having a clear, actionable plan for profit taking. I had entry criteria down cold, and good risk management on the downside, but when $BTC started moving parabolic, I just kept holding, convinced it would go higher. The emotional pull to let winners run outweighed the logical need to lock in gains, especially after seeing friends bag enormous sums by holding even longer. It eventually cost me a significant portion of unrealized gains when the inevitable pullback hit, leaving me with a less-than-optimal exit and a feeling of 'should've, could've, would've.' Now, every trade has specific target zones, not just stop losses.

That's a common trap. The 'shoulda, coulda, woulda' feeling after the fact is strong, but having a pre-defined profit-taking strategy, even if it's just scaling out, is key to avoiding those emotional decisions. What specific triggers are you considering for your next cycle?
