Gold CFD vs. Futures Micro - Leverage Comparison

Considering trading $XAUUSD via CFDs. Historically, I've used micro futures for gold exposure. For those with experience in both, how does the effective leverage and margin requirements compare, especially for similar notional sizes? Current gold at $4185.78, seems elevated.
