Payout Reliability from 'Offshore' Brokers
Been trading with a smaller, unregulated outfit for some time on crypto pairs, primarily $BTC and $ETH. Their spreads are decent, and execution has been fine enough for my size. However, the last two withdrawal requests (over $10k each) have taken an unusually long time to process. They used to be 48-72 hours, now we're pushing two weeks, with vague responses about 'payment processor delays.' It's not an insignificant amount to be tied up. Wondering if others are seeing similar drag from less regulated brokers, or if this is an isolated incident with my current setup. The convenience of their funding options is good, but if getting money out becomes a consistent headache, it clearly outweighs the benefits. At what point do you guys generally consider an alternative, and what's your typical threshold for 'acceptable' withdrawal times?
That's definitely concerning. I've always heard mixed things about unregulated brokers, and slow withdrawals seem to be a common red flag. Have you tried doing a smaller test withdrawal to see if that processes any faster?
