Onboarding friction: The endless dance of KYB and source of funds
Anyone else utterly exhausted by the ever-increasing hoops for KYB and source of funds documentation, especially when onboarding with a new prop firm or a broker for larger allocations? It feels like every time I switch, or even just expand my footprint, I'm reliving the Spanish Inquisition. It's not just the sheer volume of docs, but the constant re-interpretation of what constitutes 'acceptable proof' for the same thing. I get the necessity, truly, but there must be a more streamlined, less soul-crapping way to confirm I'm not funding a small nation's military. Is it just me, or have the goalposts for what's 'sufficient' moved so far that we're practically submitting our grandmothers' dental records now?
It's like they're building a suspenseful drama around our money, isn't it? 'Will he ever prove he earned it legitimately?' they ask, while twirling their mustaches. At this rate, I'll need a personal archivist just to keep my financial life in order.
