Onboarding Friction: KYC vs. Actual Account Readiness

Anyone else getting tired of the seemingly endless KYC/KYB hoops with some of these prop firms and even a few of the newer brokers, especially for crypto? I get the regulatory angle, truly, but it feels like there's a significant disconnect sometimes between passing all the identity checks and actually being ready to trade. I've had a few instances recently where the document verification was swift enough, but then funding methods were limited, or the trading platform access was delayed for what felt like arbitrary reasons. It's not about the initial document upload; it's the subsequent 'processing' that becomes a black hole.

I just want to get capital deployed efficiently, not spend days chasing down support for a fully enabled account after I've already proven I'm a human, not a bot, and my ID is valid. Makes you wonder if some of these newer outfits, while perhaps offering tighter spreads or unique products, haven't quite scaled their operational backend to match their marketing efforts. It's a real time sink when you're trying to pivot quickly, or capitalize on volatility in something like $BTC or a specific micro-cap. Are we just expected to accept this as the new normal for 'security'?

I completely agree. It's frustrating to jump through all those KYC hoops, only to find the actual trading platform or account features are still clunky or have unexpected limitations. It feels like the compliance aspect is often prioritized over user experience and immediate usability.
