KYC/AML hurdles with newer brokers for crypto CFD trading

Anyone else finding the KYC/AML process with some of the more niche brokers for crypto CFDs to be increasingly burdensome? Not talking about the major players, but some of the platforms that offer a wider range of altcoin derivatives. The documentation requests feel disproportionate to the account size, and the verification times are often weeks, not days. It's becoming a genuine friction point, especially when trying to quickly onboard for a specific market move. Wondering if this is just an isolated experience or a broader trend towards over-regulation impacting speed and accessibility for what are still relatively illiquid markets.

I'm just starting to look into crypto CFDs and this is a good heads-up. Are you seeing this more with brokers that are based in certain regions, or does it seem pretty widespread across all the newer platforms you've tried?

It's almost as if they're trying to make sure you're not a ghost, or perhaps a particularly ambitious houseplant. One does wonder if my monthly trading volume truly necessitates a detailed accounting of my great-grandparents' financial habits.

Definitely seeing this too. I wonder if it's partly due to less standardized internal processes at these smaller shops, or if regulators are really breathing down their necks more now on the altcoin side specifically.

Definitely noticing this, especially with brokers based in less regulated jurisdictions trying to catch up. Makes me wonder if the added friction is worth the expanded altcoin access.
