On-chain metrics and the current BTC consolidation
Starting to wonder if we're putting a bit too much stock in some of the on-chain metrics right now, especially with $BTC bouncing around the low 60s. The long-term holder supply, for example, is often touted as a bullish sign of conviction, but it's not exactly preventing these sustained periods of grind. Feels like there's a strong argument that macro sentiment, particularly how the dollar index behaves and what the Fed might do, is currently a far more dominant force than whether a few more coins are moving off exchanges. I mean, we're not seeing $CADCHF doing anything dramatic at 0.58114, but that liquidity has to come from somewhere, right?
It just makes me question if we're overcomplicating things by diving deep into every single on-chain data point when price action itself, coupled with broader market conditions, might be telling a clearer, albeit less exciting, story. The narrative feels very 'buy the dip' based on long-term conviction, but the price isn't exactly rocketing off support every time. Change my mind, because I'm genuinely open to being wrong.
