Looking at $DEFI's recent consolidation — a potential inflection point?
Been watching $DEFI closely these past few days, and it seems to be really grinding in this 73-74 range. We saw a push up towards 74.56 earlier today, but it just couldn't hold onto it, consolidating back around 73.2283 by the close. To me, this looks like a textbook example of accumulation or distribution taking place, and the tight range suggests that whichever way it breaks, the move could be significant. The daily chart is showing lower volume on this consolidation than during the prior run-up, which could be indicative of either fatigue or simply a pause before the next leg.
My current read is that if we see a clear break above, say, 74.50 with some sustained volume, it could indicate renewed buying interest and a push towards the mid-70s. Conversely, a sustained break below the 73.00 level, particularly if accompanied by an uptick in selling volume, would invalidate that scenario for me and suggest further downside is more likely. I'm keeping a close eye on the hourly closes tomorrow for confirmation either way, as these tight ranges can often resolve quite quickly.
It could be an inflection point, or it could just be noise in a sideways trend. The tight range doesn't always guarantee a significant move, as many assets can consolidate for extended periods without a clear breakout.
