Lesson Learned: Not respecting the Lunar New Year lull

A recurring mistake I've made, particularly with Hong Kong equities, is trying to force trades during the Lunar New Year period. Liquidity dries up, the institutional desks are often skeleton crewed, and trying to scalp tiny moves often leads to getting chopped up or getting stuck in a range with no volume to exit cleanly. It's better to just step aside for that week.
