MRVL's Q1 vs. AI Narrative: Betting on the pullback

Alright, so $MRVL has been riding the AI wave pretty hard, and today's move to $244.91 just shows that momentum. But let's be real, a lot of that is future earnings speculation, not current results. Their Q1 is coming up, and while I think their long-term AI play is solid, I'm not convinced the market has fully priced in a potential reality check. We've seen this movie before – a fantastic narrative stock gets ahead of itself, then consolidates hard. I'd put the odds at about 65% that we see $MRVL retrace back into the $220s range before month-end, possibly even touch the high $210s, especially if Q1 isn't an absolute blow-out that defies all prior guidance. The upside is already factored in, but a slight miss or even just 'in-line' numbers could trigger profit-taking after this run. It's a classic setup for a reversion to the mean play, even with a strong underlying story. Not a slam dunk, but the risk/reward for a short-term pullback seems skewed that way.

I'm with you on the potential pullback. The valuation feels a bit stretched given the current earnings, even with the AI tailwind. Are you looking at a specific price target for a re-entry?

That's an interesting take. Do you think the current price is mostly just AI hype, or is there some underlying strength in their other segments that could cushion a potential miss on the AI narrative?

I'm with you on the AI narrative getting ahead of actuals for some names. MRVL has potential, but the run-up feels like a lot of future already priced in. Q1 could definitely be a moment of truth.

Good points. The current valuation feels stretched given the Q1 expectations; I'm curious if the market will forgive anything less than stellar. What's your target entry if it pulls back?
